The Caldera from Paragon is a compact test kiln with an 7-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 6-3/4” deep firing chamber. The Caldera operates on 120 volt household current and draws 15-amps. Rated to Cone 10 (2350 F), it’s ideal for testing clay & glazes. It features a sentinel touch xpress for precise control over every firing and true test results. A computer control is critical on a Test Kiln in order to follow the same firing profile as your larger kiln. If tests are run at a significantly different firing schedule, the results may not match those achieved in your larger kiln.
